I'm not sure what happend. My comment did not take. I'll write it again.

I did'nt know how the blogging world works. But it makes sense to get something for the energy you spend writing good and helpful info. So, I'll be glad to contribute, however, I am really funny about releasing my credit card info because of identity theft issues. Is there another way I can contribute? I'll be glad to mail you a check.
vj

Ha! No. "Need" is a strong word. Most bloggers have tip jars. Since a lot of people don't get their news from the Mainstream Media anymore and since advertising on this blog only pays when people click through, it is just compensation for time, and if you perceive it, value.

I blog because I love the medium, I love spreading information, and I love helping people. I've been doing it for a year without money and will continue, payment or not! It's just a way of showing appreciation if a reader desires. Some bloggers are far more worthy than me. For example, Michael Yon and some other bloggers survive and fund their Iraq and Afghanistan reporting entirely through tip-jars. They are true journalists who self-fund and rely on donations.

My work is nowhere near as worthy. I try to find the best, most interesting news and add cogent views. I also try to provide content here you can't find other places. If you like, you can contribute. If not, that's okay too.
