Since I have quite a few guy friends, my answer is yes opposite-sex friendships work. What do you readers think?

I agree, they can work, but there are many friendships where there’s too much attraction to be feasible (on one side or both). I think this is the reason people say it can’t be done–but if there’s no attraction, it’s fine.

Every guy that has female friends would sleep with said female friends under the right circumstances. It is true.

I think they work as well because a male friend can bring a whole different view point then female friends can. I have a number of close male friens and I cherish our friendships very much.

Opposite sex friendships work real well before marriage. Once marriage ensues I don’t see guys having opposite sex friendships unless they want to get in the girls pants. Guys don’t maintain frienships with women once they are married unless they are attracted, which invariably leads to trouble. Its asking for trouble to start an opposite sex friendship as a married male unless your wife is friends with the female. Even then if she is attractive I might still want to sex her regardless of my wifes friendship with her. I guess this proves it. Men are dogs. Cest la Vie
