Jesse, I won’t cut fresh flowers for you….

Clarence Page’s take about the castration comments, “Jackson’s comments showed the influential civil rights leader at his worst: frustrated and marginalized.”

Aw, there’s a rift between the lovers and Stephen Green smells a conspiracy or booze. Something. I smell stupid. (Not me, them, but I know, it sounded like the object was me.) This emotional episode brings to mind Carly Simon lyrics:

Jesse, I won’t cut fresh flowers for you
Jesse, I won’t make the wine cold for you
Jesse, I won’t change the sheets for you
I won’t put on cologne
I won’t sit by the phone for you

Such drama between these race hustling kings. I predict this:

Jesse, quick come here
I won’t tell a soul
Not even myself
Jesse, that you’ve come back to me
My friends will all say “She’s gone again’
But how can anyone know what you are to me
That I’m in love again because you’ve come back to me – Oh Jessie!

Jesse, I’ll always cut fresh flowers for you
Jesse, I’ll always make the wine cold for you
Jesse, I can easily change my mind about you
And put on cologne
And sit by the phone for you

Oh, Jesse, you’ll always be the one….the last love of a lost generation. What will blacks do when you and Sharpton are gone? The void. The pain. Since only the good die young, I don’t think we’ll have to worry about that for a while.
