It is so flattering to be in high school and have an adult chase you and treat you like an adult. Especially when you want so much to grow up. My son (16) was chased by a 49 year old woman until I called the sheriff. Once she realized that she would go to jail if we could prove anything he wasn't quite as attractive. I don't think that the law is especially conservative, 24 would be conservative. I do think that many people are unable or unwilling to have a relationship with a peer so they have to find someone whom they can easily dominate, and who is easier to master than the young and inexperienced?
