We must have seen completely different movies. I saw a historically accurate movie where the father left the home to go to the big city and find work. The previously carefree and rich mother and daughter buckled down and worked together to keep their house. You know, like real work ethic, the kind we celebrate and miss in our families today.

Personally, I don't care if the theme of the movie jumps around. Also, as for the editing, the whole movie had to be shot in just four months so their might have been limited tape to work with.
