Think about the primaries and election of 2002 in South Dakota, when lawyers from Washington started showing up at polling places in the hinterlands to intmidate the poll workers. The lawyers tied up the phones, which meant that the poll watchers and election officials could not make needed phone calls. Party hacks had rented dozens of vans and hired drivers to bring voters to the polls from outside. Lawyers (not from there) made the Parish Hall in Mission their headquarters. Much the same thing happened in Nevada in ’98 and ’02, where dead people and pets voted too. And we all know that machine tampering takes place in California EVERY YEAR!!!

It’s often even easier and cheaper to attach a GPS device to a vehicle, in which case Mr. Automobile is no longer your friend. Why is this not like Watergate? The only meaningful difference I see is that back then the mainstream press was somehow in charge of managing an investigation, and today they’re refusing to cooperate with one.
