Debate Assessment

I didn’t see the debate last night as the inside of the toilet was capturing my undivided attention, so I’ve had to look around to see what people are saying. This isn’t too encouraging:

Jeff’s thoughts: Obama wins by virtue of not being forcibly escorted from the stage in handcuffs and leg irons.

– Which means that, sadly, his stay at the Hanoi Hilton wasn’t to be the last time John McCain would be beaten by a communist.

Is that what I missed? And Joe Plumber made a splash, too, I hear.

You can watch the debate on C-SPAN’s website.

Personally, I thought McCain won the debate handidly. On Fox News after the debate, the cell poll was 87%-11% texting in that McCain won.

I watched on NBC, which had a split screen, and by my eyes, Obama was clearly pissed off at McCain more than a few times. He shot McCain the nasty look (just like the one he shot Hillary) a few times as well.

McCain was on the offense, Obama was on the defense all night.

Don’t listen to the pundits who think McCain needed a KO to win the debate. Obama was defensive all night.

Besides, Joe The Plumber exposing Obama as a socialist is the KO the campaign needed. They need to get McCain and Palin to Ohio for a photo op with Joe The Plumber NOW.

I saw the debate. McCain won hands down, but the media of course was biased and FOX news is scared of losing viewers to a new political order. I wish I could prove to you how objective I am… but if I could I would be as much a liar as the media is. you can’t prove this kind of thing. It isn’t a science… those that think they can objectively poll politics are foolish

    Hey Noah,

Not so much fun when the media isn’t doing your bidding for you, is it? I guess the media was fine when they were banging the war drums to go into Iraq, right? Or when they were talking about the blue dress perhaps?Personally, I don’t believe that you watched the debates, because there is no way that you could say that McCain won. On the issue of health care in particular, Obama shredded him. I realize that McCain was the aggressor for most of the evening, however he reminded me of a irritating little gnat trying to get into the house to bite someone. He looked desperate, even foolish at times, and was frequently rebuffed by Obama. in several instances, his accusations were simply flat out falsehoods. Get real.
