From Obama’s Mouth To Moderate Republicans’ Ears

October 31, 2008 / 9:50 am • By Dr. Melissa Clouthier

My lefty commentators and the moderate Republicans believe that success in the future will be to be even more Democrat-like. Barack Obama shares his ideas about appearing moderate but holding to ideology:

In order to beat them [Republicans], it is necessary for Democrats to get some backbone, give as good as they get, brook no compromise, drive out Democrats who are interested in “appeasing” the right wing, and enforce a more clearly progressive agenda.

The country, finally knowing what we stand for and seeing a sharp contrast, will rally to our side and thereby usher in a new progressive era.

Go read the whole thing. So Obama feels that strident rhetoric hurts, but behind the scenes forget any notions of a big tent and go hard to the Left. Only problem is that Americans think they’re getting a moderate Democrat in Obama. And if they believe that, they haven’t been paying attention.

And remember: a “radical” Republican is just an Average American. Most people don’t view going to church, owning a gun and self-sufficiency as radical.

I read that paragraph many times and still seem vague to me because it started out as “According to the storyline that drives many advocacy groups and Democratic activists” and the beginning of the next paragraph starts with “I think this perspective misreads the American people.” So it’s hard to tell whether he agrees with it or not. But toward the end he did say “Our goal should be to stick to our guns on those core values that make this country great”

He made it vague enough for people to project their own ideas on to it. My guess is that he will at least try to appeal to the right at the beginning in order to achieve those “core values.” The great unknown is what happen if that approach fails. To be honest, whoever wins is going to have his hands full with the economy, and that will be the test to determine whether he can push the other agendas.

Republican candidates who run as “moderates” merely give people the impression that, “Yes, the Left is right about everything, but we oppose them because we are rich, greedy and mean-spirited.”

“And remember: a “radical” Republican is just an Average American. Most people don’t view going to church, owning a gun and self-sufficiency as radical.”

This is a great point. The MSM has incredible power to shape our world view and & make us believe that liberalism is the “Normal” or “mainstream” view. And it isn’t. On illegal immigration most American are against it and against Amnesty and always have been. But in the MSM this is portrayed as a crazy right wing position that is held only by the KKK.

    How to Identify False Conservatives

It is easy to notice the large number of “conservatives” and “conservative forums” on the internet that are nothing more than insidious leftist provocation efforts. All you have to do is read their defeatist and defamatory propaganda directed against any strong or promising right wing opposition.
At first I employed content analysis techniques learned at the Psychological Warfare School to detect reds in conservative clothing. Then I realized, as Obama’s advisors say, “You don’t have to be a weather man to see which way the wind blows.”
It is simple to identify fake conservative who take up so much wasted space on our forums. I can offer numerous suggestions, but first I will advocate going to the epicenter of communist propaganda on the internet. All reds get their leadership from specific internet leader nodes. One of them is the MONEON web site.

Moveon is run by a virulent group of leftist propagandists that parrots an
intense hatred for the USA and its traditions. A shocking fact is that a
number of other internet groups also parrot the Moveon propaganda
line. Among those groups are literally every one of the forty or more “white nationalist” Forums, Over a dozen ostensible conservative or right wing forums (Dr Melissa’s sites are not on this list. She gets a number of lenghty responses from fake conservatives though.) and five supposedly patriotic military reform internet organizations. It is strange that so many groups, professing to be patriotic in one way or another promote exactly the same values as the communist Moveon organization. In fact, deceivers posing as white nationalists or patriots can now be identified as phoneys by comparing their rants to standard Moveon rants. They also call their enemies “neo-cons.”

    Sample Quotes From:Moveon Web Site

Following are a number of sample posts taken directly from the Moveon internet (Mostly deleted to save space)web site. Each post is voted on by Moveon members present on the internet when the post was made. Thus the viewer can get some idea of how popular each rant is among the Moveon members.

Israel, Our Child Of Terror We as Dr. Frankenstein love our handywork.

It is OBVIOUS that Flight 93 was annihilated in the air, that it was NOT a commercial jetliner that damaged the pentagon and I believe that the twin towers were detonated. From what I am reading the 9/11 commission’s
report contains a denial that the physical structure of the towers was as
they were built, in order to support the “natural collapse” theory.

Christians (“so-called..”) believe that Jesus (a Jewish rabbi and wannabe
Jewish messiah) died for them and saved their souls when he couldn’t
even save his own skin let alone the Jewish people. Jews consider any
non-Jew as inferior (“the Chosen”). Hello, America. George W. Bush is the AntiChrist. He is the murderer of
Justice and Liberty and Truth. You have let him come into your house, and act
like he is your elected president
    Concepts Repeatedly Promoted By Moveon

Following is a sample of the weird and treasonous outlook of the Moveon
organization taken from their internet web site. Any day or night you can go there and read what they believe in. It is just a sample, see for yourself. Here is what
Moveon promotes. It is also what “white nationalists” and a number of other internet groups promote while pretending to be patriots:
-9-11 was treason carried out by the US government
    -I hate neo-cons
    -I hate conservatives
    - Obama is the One who will be president
    -I hate Christianity
    -I love afro-Americans
    -I hate Jews
    -I hate Bush
    -I hate Republicans
    -I Love Muslims
    -I hate the USA
    -Bring the troops home
-High taxes and high gas prices do not matter

    Moveon Propaganda and influence

It is a measure of the corruption and depravity of one several segments of American society that such views are promoted by groups that appear to have a different agenda. For example, the Moveon agenda is insidiously subscribed to by the
    following groups:
-98% of the supposed white nationalist internet forums like Stormfront
-60% of the supposed conservative or right wing forums like Right Wing
-All of the supposed, patriotic military reform propagandists like
    dynamicpara@aol.com; a series of self-proclaimed “military think-tanks”
which are really just one-man rants. For those interested, here they are:
    • 1st Tactical Studies Group (Airborne!!) – M113 and airborne rants:
Promoting the idea that the M113 is the greatest armored vehicle ever and
can do anything, especially when dropped out of the back of an airplane or
in the water . Also promotion of metallic housing instead of tents and
    Moveon propaganda
    • 2nd Tactical Studies Group (Aerospace) – Claims the aliens are already
here and ready to attack, presumably M113’s are the ideal anti-alien
    counter weapon
    • 3rd Amphibious Warfare Studies Group (Maritime) – Anti-USMC rants.
    • 4th Tactical Studies Group (Conspiracy) – JFK assassination conspiracy
    stuff combined with Moveon rants

Conservatives and liberals both tend to adopt favorable terms to describe themselves while using inflammatory definitions when talking about members of the “enemy” team.

Going to church, owning a gun and self-sufficiency also describes many Democrats I know. But if I wanted to demonize conservatives I could turn these around to religiously intolerant, gun-obsessed and selfish. Now, I don’t believe this is true and only used those descriptions to make a point.

An example of portraying a political opponent using extreme and exaggerated language is the post on here submitted by Jack Sigil. Scanning the post quickly I found “communist,” “red” and “treasonous.” Those readers offended by a post like that usually respond to it using an equally acrimonious tone.

I think we spend too much time focusing on our differences and too little time looking at our similarities.
