Mumbai Victims Tortured

Asked what was different about the victims of the incident, another doctor said: “It was very strange. I have seen so many dead bodies in my life, and was yet traumatised. A bomb blast victim’s body might have been torn apart and could be a very disturbing sight. But the bodies of the victims in this attack bore such signs about the kind of violence of urban warfare that I am still unable to put my thoughts to words,” he said.

Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: “It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood,” one doctor said.

The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: “Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again,” he said.

Corroborating the doctors’ claims about torture was the information that the Intelligence Bureau had about the terror plan. “During his interrogation, Ajmal Kamal said they were specifically asked to target the foreigners, especially the Israelis,” an IB source said.

What? Terrorists don’t follow the Geneva Conventions? Who woulda thunk it.

    The attacks by Muslims are just going to get worse and worse. The same problems stemming from Islam are happening across the world and it is time for all non-Islamic countries to end all Muslim immigration including student visas.

    This is so sick. I can’t help but to think of the smiling gunman. Islamic terrorism is the whole world’s problem. The recent events in Mumbai, India highlight that fact. The Islamists are prepared to fight anywhere at anytime and pay any price.

    Yes it is true that the pakistani terrorist toutured the victims. They even decapitated the head of Kuber’s sailor whom they hijacked to reach Mumbai.

    The people who committed the attacks in India are deranged, which explains their actions. What is more concerning to me is that everyone posting here so far seems to have completely erased the distinction between the great majority of Muslims and the few who choose to commit acts of terror.

    Last week everyone wanted to remember the Pilgrims, who came to North America so that they could practice their religion unfettered. One of America’s great selling points has always been that we don’t discriminate (in theory) on the basis of religious affiliation, and it would be a shame if we were to lose that. It is one of the few aspects of our society that is actually unique.

    I suspect that most of the people in this country who live in an irrational fear of Islam don’t know any Muslims. Go to a mosque and talk to some people. You’ll find they aren’t too different from the rest of us, and most of them (just like most Christians, Jews, etc.) are good Americans.

    There are lots of peaceful Muslims and when they rise up and deal with their blood-lust-filled kin, I’ll feel a whole lot better. So far, that hasn’t happened. And it pisses me off.

    Dr., how would you propose that peaceful Muslims “deal with their blood-lust-filled kin”? Do you feel responsible for “dealing with” every group of Christians in the world who don’t act the way you’d like? For example, many white supremacy groups tout their devotion to Christ as evidence of their purity. Have you done anything to “deal with” them?

    Christians in this country deal with such dogmeat as White Supremacists all the time. They also deal with, and/or vocally denounce, other types of extremists claiming to be “Christians,” such as the Fred Phelps brigade, Abortion Clinic bombers, and KKK. Thankfully, because of the readiness of the majority of Christians in this country who do so, there is not much call for any individual to do so. Therefore, asking one person if they have done such is pointless.

    Claims of the population of Muslim extremists range up to 10%. Yet we hardly ever hear of “Moderate” Muslims denouncing the crimes and excesses of the minority. There are a few, but not even a small fraction of the numbers there should be.

    I loudly condemn it and PUBLICLY. When White Supremists burned crosses in a Jew’s yard in some Utah town (I think it was), the whole community bought menorahs and put them in their windows. And if I was in the community, I would do that.

    If Christians (eg Catholic priests) won’t clean up their own house, I condemn them. Please. This multi-culti BS is part of the problem.

    The fact is that moderate Muslims are afraid. They are afraid of their psychotic brethren. And rightfully so, there’s a good chance that a moderate Muslim will pay a price for coming out against the fascistic elements. But someone must stand up and show some courage. And it has to come from within.

    I’m not trying to pin the fight against white supremacy to any individual, I’m just pointing out that it isn’t easy to stop groups like that from attaching their faith to their cause.

    And if denouncing a group is all we’re talking about here, then you can find hundreds of such denouncements from Muslims in America (not to mention the rest of the world) in about two minutes with a simple google search. I got the impression, however, that the Dr. would like to see more than a denouncement.

    I don’t know where you get your 10% figure from, but I can’t imagine there is any reliable basis for that claim. You are right that we don’t hear from moderate Muslims often, but this is more a failure of the MSM, that favorite target of Republicans, than anything else. Watch Jim Lehrer; it’s the least biased news available and he often has moderate Muslims on his program.

    I have seen and heard exactly ONE Muslim in America, or elsewhere,denounce terrorism, and that was Muhammed Ali. All the rest is in the nature of, “Oh, you’re so awful to blame us, it’s not our fault, they’re extremists, most of us don’t do things like that.” Just as you’re doing.

    Christians do denounce those of our number who do evil, and quite publicly. The result? Christians are “judgmental.”

    I disagree with Matt K. that Muslims are humane. Touturing, killing,sadism, etc is taught in their religion. Koran says “The more you touture a living organism, the more your and its soul purifies”

    Thats why they touture lamb so viciously before killing it on Eid. That’s how they tourtured Daniel Pearl. We all saw that video.

    Go to google and type in the following search terms: “Muslim leader denounce terrorism”. The number of Muslims you have heard denounce terrorism will increase exponentially in a matter of seconds.

    I’m no expert on the Koran, but I can’t help but think that you’ve either misunderstood the quote you provide or taken it out of context. After all, I could argue that Christianity is based on purification of souls through the torture of Jesus Christ, but I have a feeling many Christians would see that as a perversion of their faith.

    Matt K. – The 10% number has been bandied about in various places since 9/11. I don’t have any specific sources, but I was using that as a top-end number, to illustrate that the lowest “moderate”-to-extremist ratio would be 10 to 1, rather than using it to show the scary number of possible extremists. I didn’t make that too clear.

    On the other hand, I was trying to make the point that Christians in this country don’t often get a chance to deal with their extremists directly, because of the response that they draw automatically. And you did specifically ask Dr. Melissa what she had done to deal with them.

    And yes, I agree that the MSM is at least partially (if not mostly) responsible for not hearing from the Moderate Muslim community. However, of the ones that I have seen, many of the statements have rung hollow – they were formulaic depositions which had the appearance of being done merely to be able to say that a statement had been made. There was none of the outrage that I would expect from someone who was truly offended by the actions.

    Another thing about numbers, this poll shows that 13% of Muslim Americans indicate violence against civilians is justified “in defense of Islam”, and while I can’t really summarize this poll very well in a single sentence, it contains some very disturbing numbers.

    In answer to Matt K. (whom I believe is symptomatic towards our inability to deal with this threat), I would suggest reading Mark Steyn’s piece a few days ago concerning the Mumbai attack. I really do think Steyn hit it on the head when this attack occurred, our response was to do it in a police style fashion. Get the yellow tape out, question individuals, and find out who did it. Well, we know who did it.

    Oh yeah, Matt, while you’re off on your “let’s just try to be reasonable” theme (must be nice in cushy academia-land), let me ask you what would happen if these jackasses ever attempted to do that in a city here? Still want to be reasonable and wishy-washy? Ok, let me up the ante and say it’s a nuclear or a biological attack? Still hunky-dorey with you?

    Let me give you an example of how people can actually turn on a fanatical minority. The militias were really big in the 1990′s, until Timothy McVeigh pulled the Oklahoma city bombing. You know, that terrorist incident that the left keeps thumping over the right’s head whenever we say anything regarding Islamic terrorism (though it’s odd that the left can only use that one example) Last time I checked, everyone pretty much jumped all over them to the point where you barely hear anything about the militias anymore. Do they still exist? Yes they do, but they are much more circumspect in their actions and they have nowhere near the belligerence that they displayed in the early 90′s.

    If the Islamic community really wanted to deal with these fanatics, they could. I mean, the “experts” keep telling us that it’s only 1-2% of the Muslim population that’s doing this, right (by the way, I find this percentage to be total bull, but that’s an argument for another time)? So there’s no reason why they couldn’t deal with this problem in a month. The question is whether they really are against these attacks?

    Hey, if you want to buddy up to these people, go right ahead. I’m sure the stewardesses on the 9/11 flights were nice and courteous to their “hosts”. The thanks they got were slit throats. Sorry, but I reserve the right to totally not trust them, bigoted or otherwise. I call it a survival instinct.

    You’re exactly right. We should systematically round up every Muslim in America and send them to “relocation camps.” We can interrogate them, using torture if needed, until they all confess to being the terrorists we really know them to be. Then, since terrorists clearly don’t deserve trials, we can just mass execute them. Any means will do: firing squads, gas chamber, pack of wolves, whatever. After all, it’s not like they’re really people, right?

    After we’ve taken care of the problem within our own borders, we can go abroad. Let me be the first to suggest that we start with Indonesia. Lots of Muslims, and we can simply drop nukes since we won’t have to get permission to use anyone else’s airspace. By that time, I’m sure Muslims around the world will fall into two groups. Some will want to fight; they will be easy to take care of. The problem will be getting to the cowards who run for their lives. They’ll be harder to find.

    It might take a while, maybe even decades, but I’m sure we’re ingenious enough to solve this problem. Just to prove I’m onboard, I’ve even come up with a slogan: “Try anti-Muslim zealotry, it’s the new McCarthyism!”

    Anyone who has studied the history of the muslim people and the koran understand the that many passages can only be interpeted as suggesting and sometimes demanding violence against the “infidel”. Most of their schools teach hatred towards Isreal and the west. Most muslim led governments harbor and sometimes support terrorist. How many of these religious, education, and government types ever vehemently denounce islamic terrorism? Yet, how many times have they called for the death or punishment of anyone who writes something negative or prints a cartoon about mohammed? Wake up and face the real truth. They are dangerous.

    Well, I’ll be brutally honest with this one.
    I do believe that terrorists should be shot out
    of hand. But then, I believe in total war, not
    the mealy-mouth version that gets our soldiers
    killed for no good reason. And spare me the
    “terrorists are people too..” line. We’re not
    talking about a group of people (i.e. the Jews)
    whose only crime was to exist. We’re talking
    about people who actively want to destroy this
    country. But hey, keep thinking they way you
    do. When they take over, you’ll be one of the
    first to go…Yeah, I really want to wait until
    they comprise more of a percentage of the
    population so that they can feel more emboldened
    to make major attacks. Great idea. Obama
    should pick you for his national security
    advisory board.

    Oh yeah, one more thing.
    Whether it was right or wrong to intern the
    Japanese during WWII, you cannot argue its
    effectiveness. There was no sabotage on the
    West Coast. That says a lot.

    As far as I’m concerned, if the Muslims want to
    resurrect their Caliphate in their corner of the
    world, I have no issue with it. As long as it’s
    not here. If they continue with the jihad, then
    more drastic measures would have to be taken.
    Also, bear in mind that the new jihad against
    the West will not be by warriors with spears and
    swords on camels and horses. This time around
    they’ll have all sorts of goodies like nukes and
    bio weapons. Oh yeah, I forgot, it’s ok if they
    have them. We’re the ones who are supposed to
    remain defenseless. Yeah, the national
    security spot looks better for you by the
    minute.

    Ah yes, one cannot complete the liberal
    nonsensical debate without invoking McCarthy. Ironically, Senator McCarthy actually underestimated the Communist threat. You might want to look up the Venona Files if you have the time. You can even Google
    it. You’re the big academic researcher, right? I’d rather have McCarthy than an Islamic Stalin.

    26/11 was the day when we heard that our Metro City Mumbai attacked by the terrorists. Even nobody believes that why they attacked on TAJ HOTEL. I think we have to think that what are the reason behind all the attacks and eventually the term comes to our mind is “PAKISTAN”.
