    Interesting article. If I didn’t live in IL, I might think there was an upside for Republicans in IL now, that the people would be so disgusted with the Dems that they’d vote them out of office.

    But I do live in IL, and this state is about as blue as they come, now. And in a weird way, there will be Illinoisans who will feel that their Gov. was some kind of a “bad ass” for getting away with it as long as he did. Not to mention that fact that our last Gov. – a Republican – is sitting in prison right now, for corruption.

    So I’m not optimistic of an upside here. I think the Dem attitude will be more like, “We’ll just find one who’s less likely to get caught.” That’s “the Chicago Way.”

    Sigh. I so wish I could move!
