Autism Twitter Day

It’s today.

More here and here and here.

Autism, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder are all potential pitfalls when a child doesn’t have proper child development. I think all families should be wary of this.

Autism is a very interesting syndrome, and not necessarily a “disorder”. Autism refers to a numbers of different things, which are lumped together as ASD, or more accurately, ASC, for “autism spectrum conditions”.

I have some of the ‘symptoms’ of autism myself, and I strongly suspect any really good programmer does. Actually, that would apply to any “nerd”, and perhaps to any artist.

Konnie, you tread on dangerous ground when you say that autism (especially the severe kind my son has) can be attributed to improper “child development”. I notice that you seem to have a dog in this “fight”, as your name is linked to a business that happens to profit from diagnosing and treating it. I am wary of a lot of things, especially people who claim that autism has any one cause.
