Senator John Cornyn Talks About Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Just got off a conference call with Texas Senator John Cornyn. It seems that I was the only one on the call, so after his preamble about voting against President Obama’s budget and his foray into immigration, I got to ask all the questions.

It seems that Immigration reform will happen with the Obama administration. Farmers, especially, need workers, and America needs the rule of law. The solution is a guest-worker program and tighter borders, says Senator Cornyn. But I asked Senator Cornyn how a guest worker program, a way to get IDs for workers, would prevent any of our current problems. For example, criminals, I would suspect, would just sneak into America and not use the ID system. Basically the system would decriminalize the workers and those who employ them.

Senator Cornyn says the current system is a mess and I agree. Will the proposed solutions solve anything?

    It all still hinges on enforcement. I think that a guest worker program is an essential component of any successful program. If for no other reason than it gives a way for farms to hire legal workers and it gives workers a way to prove their status. Any one who can’t show a card has to go home, and body who hires people who can’t show a card pays a fine.

    The problem is that this administration, like the last, will be strong on compromise and weak on enforcement. I like Sen. Cornyn and trust him quite a bit, but he cannot do this all alone.

    Sen Cornyn is full of HOT AIR, if I hear one more politician smugly trumpet COMPREHENSIVE ANYTHING,my head will burst.That word is constantly used by these bottom feeders to lule the uninformed public into thinking “wow my Senator is working hard for me!” The two senators from my state of Texas Talk Tough about Illegals during thier campaings then NOTHING MORE afer elections. Didyou wonder Dr M why only you were on that conference call? Cause probally all the others who got the Memo didn’t feel like wasting thier time listening to another BLOW HARD 2nd rate lawyer.

    Sadly it seems, we have lost our will as a nation to do what we know is right. What is ‘right’you say? Right is:

    1. Securing the Border.
    2. Increase the penalty for crossing into the country illegally.
    3. Do away with Anchor-Baby status
    4. Deport those who reside here illegally, even if their nephew is the President of the United States.

    Cornyn was one of the Treasonous Texas Two Senators that supported undermining(With El Presidente Jorge Boosh)The Hunter Border Fence Bill(and helped sneak a back door into the legislation)almost as soon it was very reluctantly signed by Jorge. He is on the border ina state under hostile invasion and he wants to ASSIST THE INVASION. Cornyn is treasonous SCUM.
