The Democrat Party of Yes, Yes, Yes! –UPDATED With Sound Effects

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

The Republican party gets derisively called the Party of No. More like, they’re the party of “Maybe” which is why they’ve been hated so much recently. Will they or won’t they? No one can predict and they end up being very ugly, Arlen Specterish teases flopping all over the issues and standing for none.

Not so the Democrats. They know what they want, baby, and they Want It All. And some of that, too!

Like Iowapundit’s Hoosgow Honeys, the Democrats have been sprung and they are wanton. In bed with Teachers Unions, Labor Unions, every identity-politics group, the Democratic party is indulging in simultaneous Obasms. And they’re just getting started. Four months in, the coke has hit the bloodstream. This summer is going to be a wild government gluttonous ride.

Bank bailouts? Yes! Government and union control of GM and other private companies? Yes! Government run health care? Yes! Yes! Yes!

Americans are so screwed.

This is a one-sided pleasure-fest. While the Democrats are on their sleazy spree, Americans are having to pay for it. And boy, will they pay.

Suddenly, a cautious, more-chaste government sounds better. Suddenly, the Party of No seems preferable to the party of I Can’t Say No and Spontaneous Obasms. Too late.

And even still, part of the reason the Republicans aren’t in power is because no one likes a tease. Trying to play the tramp and pretending at the church lady doesn’t work. Still, looks like the Republicans in D.C. are continuing to try to walk that insane line. “We’re not that bad!” “We just sell our souls a little, they like do it all the time!”

Yeah. That flies.

The rampage the Democrats are on right now just might convince the Americans that marginally slutty is better than full throttle prostitute. Unfortunately, they’ll be stuck with some sort of “reminder” of the Democrats wanton ways…a recurring rash, no doubt. But, dude, what a wild ride.

Did The White House Call Off Investigations Into Black Muslim Convert Extremists?

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

According to ABC News, Stratfor, and Doug Ross, yes. From Doug Ross:

A disturbing aspect of the attack is that Muhammad had been brought to the FBI’s attention months ago, according to ABC News.

But U.S. counterterror teams may have been intentionally prevented from investigating radicalized converts to Islam:

Several weeks ago, STRATFOR heard from sources that the FBI and other law enforcement organizations had been ordered to “back off” of counterterrorism investigations into the activities of Black Muslim converts. At this point, it is unclear to us if that guidance was given by the White House or the Department of Justice, or if it was promulgated by the agencies themselves, anticipating the wishes of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.

Stratfor implies, however, that the investigations were canceled for purely political reasons.

…politics have proved obstructive to all facets of counterterrorism policy. And politics may have been at play in the Muhammad case as well as in other cases involving Black Muslim converts…

Is it possible that the White House or Eric Holder’s Justice Department “turned off” counterterror investigations that could have saved the targeted soldiers?

This paragraph would appear to make clear that such an order was given:

Many FBI supervisors are reluctant to authorize investigations that they believe may have negative blow-back on their career advancement. In light of this institutional culture, and the order to be careful in investigations relating to Black Muslim converts, it would not be at all surprising to us if a supervisor refused to authorize a full-field investigation of Muhammad that would have included surveillance of his activities… Had the FBI opened a full-field investigation on Muhammad, and had it conducted surveillance on him, it would have been able to watch him participate in preoperational activities such as conducting surveillance of potential targets and obtaining weapons.

Congress must demand the release of this order and a complete explanation of its issuance.

There is much more at the links, please go read it all.

No wonder there hasn’t been a word from the Obama Administration about the murder of these soldiers. Their actions could have interfered with the prevention of this sort of thing.

What other attacks will have to happen because this administration adheres to politically correct ideology that refuses to acknowledge real threats.

Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security has a watch list for those ca-razy Christians and returning soldiers. Yeah, because those people are scary.

Why Gays Don’t Get Mad At President Obama

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Vice President Dick Cheney threw the whole intolerance meme on its ear with his very progressive stance regarding same-sex marriage. In contrast, President Obama, the progressive’s objet desire, holds very, very, very traditional views. Marriage is, says Barack Obama, between one man and one woman.

Why don’t gay people get mad at the President? It’s simple, really. They know he’s lying.

President Obama knows that the issue is a political loser. So do gay activists. For the greater good, gay activists won’t push the President. They will hypocritically maintain their silence. They will be willingly silenced by the President because it serves the Democrat’s purpose.

Is anyone astonished and appalled at the hypocrisy around this issue? We shouldn’t be. The Left has a long record of political expedience around this and other social issues. Remember President Clinton’s treatment of women? Yeah. And they love, love, loved him!

Maybe President Obama isn’t lying. Maybe he really does hate gay people. The first rumblings of this notion are up at Kos:

So why is Obama silent on gay issues? Is it because he has too much to do? He’s had a change of heart and now is anti-gay? In an effort to be “bipartisan” and “compromise” with the far right wing, he’s the throwing gays under the bus? He just faked support of gay rights since Hillary Clinton already had the “conservative Democrat” vote locked up in the primary anyway?

Nah, patience friend. Your cream frosting dreams will come true. Consider: President Obama wants to get re-elected. He needs the support of blacks and Catholics, two very solid Obama voting groups. He wants to keep them happy. And after re-election all the campaign promises will be be fulfilled.

It’s politics. I’m actually surprised that there is one idealist on the left who doubts this.

American Issues Project Column: The Complicated Economy

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Is there a simple solution to our complex economic problems? I don’t know, but I see parallels to the complexity of the human body and the United States economy:

The biggest problem with the current financial mess the United States faces is that it’s not simple. The United States economy, the slow, crawling, sprawling recession, makes no sense to the average person.

The U.S. economy makes little sense to experts either. That’s a problem.

When I was up in Chicago for a family gathering, I danced with a relative of my uncle who happened to to be a financial guy and trader. Please explain what is going on, I asked him. He just laughed and said that no one knew what was going on–not even the guys in the business. Why try to figure it out anyway?

How do you respond to that? I was rather stunned and took in the implications of his statement. A smart guy whose whole job was to trade on the stock exchange could not explain what was happening to the U.S. economy. Further, he told me that no one understood it. It’s too big. It’s too complicated.

What does a doctor do when a patient with crazy and varied symptoms comes in that no one can diagnose? Well, the solution might be the same for the U.S. economy. Please go read the whole thing.

About Dr. George Tiller, Legality & Morality

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

I didn’t want to write about this topic. At. All. It’s absolute insanity. And it’s personal.

The procedure that Dr. George Tiller became expert at is absolutely gruesome and he was an “expert” over sixty thousand times. That is a medium sized city of people who died being pulled limb from limb or by chemical burn. The numbers make me want to throw up right now.

People need to know the facts. Bill O’Reilly gave the facts while sharing his personal opinion that abortion is wrong. It’s his right. More about O’Reilly and free speech and the Left’s hypocrisy at my Pajama’s Media article.

This topic is personal because my own sons were born at 24 weeks five days. Here is a picture of a baby a week older. There is no question in my mind, not even a shadow of a doubt, that what Dr. Tiller did, over and over, was murder. That is, an innocent life was taken. How the man lived with himself every day, I don’t know. How he distanced himself from his acts of barbarism is beyond me.

But a pox on all our houses.

This is America. We are a country of laws. The laws should be written that something like this procedure is illegal. There is no question it is immoral. 72% of Americans were against this procedure in a survey taken two years ago. I’d venture to guess the number is higher now. Each year that passes, the ability for doctors to understand these tiny babies increases. No one doubts that they’re babies. If born, with treatment, they survive. Just like grandma survives a stroke, if given treatment. Just because she’s on life support for a while doesn’t mean that she’s not alive.

The thing is, we all know this. We all know that the baby is alive.

The disingenuous left wanting to paint those who are pro-life as wackos know that the majority of Americans, and even they themselves, know the baby is alive. For them, it’s not about killing the baby. It’s about promoting the life of the mother–rarely literally, mostly metaphorically. This whole topic is about a woman controlling her destiny by controlling her uterus. They conveniently ignore the control she had when the baby was made.

This procedure should be illegal in all 50 states. A man like Dr. George Tiller should have committed maybe 20 of these procedures over the lifetime of his practice to save a woman who was going to die, imminently, because it was either her or the baby. It should be so rare and unique that we all agonize with the devastated family. I know a woman who had this horrible choice as her body marched toward death with leukemia. The moral choice was clear, but she will live forever with the loss of her child. It was not a fetus. It was her baby. And the choice was devastating.

Otherwise, we become a nation immune to the horrors of these deaths and all bear the guilt of allowing such a thing to happen.

Dr. Tiller was murdered. His profession and his expertise was legal. A raving lunatic took justice into his own hands and killed this man in cold blood. The killer should get the chair for an act so premeditated. He clearly planned this killing.

The rule of law rules all. A murderer should be brought to justice. When it comes to late term abortion, the law needs to be changed.

The Strange Lives Of Political Wives

Monday, June 1st, 2009

My friend Stephen Kruiser has a strange case of Tourette’s Syndrome. Every time the news gets too anti-Obama-heavy, he yells, “DELTOIDS!” That’s the press’ mantra to sooth themselves in tough Obama times….a nice, puffy piece about Michelle Obama’s striking physique.

But think about it, this woman is a lawyer and a mother. How lame must it be to be reduced to her muscle definition? How sexist. How racist.

My latest Pajama’s Media column is about the Strange Lives of Political Wives:

Political wives. Can you think of a worse job? Married to type A personalities with more than a little bit of a narcissistic streak, these women — often educated and accomplished in their own right — must present a subservient demeanor and a sunny picture of their spouses or risk their spouses’ success. In addition, they often play a big part in their husbands’ careers by campaigning or crafting strategy. It is a rare politician whose wife operates outside the inner political circle.

For the article, I interviewed a political wife at the very beginning of her journey. After talking to such a nice woman and mother, it made me wonder why anyone would seek politics. What a nasty business it all is.

Talking Health Care: Governtment Run or Universal Coverage…Likely It’s The Same

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Are you guys sick of the topic yet?

Well, here’s where I agree with Barack Obama, it’s happening this year or never. I’m voting for never. The reason why there is so much emphasis on getting this done is because should the economy pick up and people start being employed again, the fear and discomfort will ease and people will get more rational again and remember that America is already in debt up to it’s eyeballs and can’t afford to pay for everyone’s health care.

My biggest concern with Government Run health care is that the government will run it and run you. That is, your life will be controlled from cradle to grave. You will eat a certain way…or else. You will do certain things…or else. And the government will have every motivation to force you down a path.

Ultimately, this is a civil liberties issue. Some people say that not having health care for all is shameful in such a wealthy country. Shameful is the notion of a bureaucrat deciding whether you live or die based on the metrics of a chart. That’s shameful. And that would be our future. It is a future I don’t want to see.

Just look at the big government, totalitarian groups that are for this mess. It should give you an idea of what you’d have to look forward to in the future.

Some are saying that Universal Health Care is likely to pass. Doesn’t this sound good?

But I want to remind everyone of something: Congress regulated Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae. Congress gave GM $62 BILLION and now, GM is going bankrupt which is what they should have done months ago. That’s your tax dollars. The United States government has shown itself to be a poor steward of our resources.

Why should we trust them with health care?

I will be talking about Health Care issues this week on RFCradio.com tonight at 10 Eastern, 9 Central and will chat with you, too, and welcome your questions.
