Remember what happened when he let Pelosi and Reid write that god awful stimulus bill last fall? He turned his energy agenda over to Henry Waxman, a 32nd degree California leftie drank-the-global-warming-Koolaid enviro-loon who makes chicken little look rational by comparison. There are many poisonous snakes in this energy bill, and the things Melissa mentioned are just a few. My understanding is that homeowners looking to sell their house would be required to first get an "energy efficiency" inspection. The "inspector" would have the authority to require sellers make any and all modifications necessary to pass the inspection BEFORE the house could be placed on the market. Another item in this bill actually acknowledges that it will cause people to lose their jobs. It states that those people will be eligible to apply for financial assistance equal to what their most recent salary was.
