I just mentioned to a friend the other day that I am now a "Ford guy." I grew up in a Chevy family and definitely still have an affinity for GM, but given the bailout of GM, my next vehicle will either be another well-built Japanese vehicle built in the Southern US, or a Ford.

Unions suck the life out of businesses. I don't encourage folks to look at Detroit, that place has been a large pile of poo for many decades. The more telling examples are in the rest of the state of Michigan. 25% unemployment in Detroit is bad enough, but over 14% for Michigan as a whole? We don't want the US to be made in the image of Michigan.

The best anti-union advertising out there - "Do you want to be like Detroit, Michigan and 2 of the old "Big 3". (Fords really looking good for not taking the package now, aren't they)
