Honduras: What Is Obama Doing?

September 22, 2009 / 1:00 pm • By Dr. Melissa Clouthier

What is Obama doing with Honduras? Objectively, the decision to support a communist over a Democratic ally makes no sense.

What is your theory?

Obama’s policy in Honduras is:
Appeasing Chavez
Supporting ideological “brothers”
Apathy…he just doesn’t care

Stuck between two gangs, Obama’s stand is for the rule of law and not to become overly involved in Honduran affairs, which would be of no benefit to us, but make great propaganda for the Chavez azzholes.

Um…Fuster, you clearly don’t know rule of law if it came up and bit you in the ASS. The Supreme Court and Congress (if they are called that) of Honduras FOLLOWED their OWN Constitution to getting rid of the wanna be dictator.

So if The Post Turtle was for “rule of law” as you claim, he would WELCOME the current leadership of Honduras, BECAUSE they are – by their OWN Constitution – the LEGAL leaders.

    /sigh at uninformed posters.

Dave, stop being a jackass. The rule of law was most certainly violated by first Zelaya, and then the people who took him out of bed at gunpoint and put him on a plane.
Had they put him on trial and removed him from office in that manner, the world wouldn’t be unanimously condemning them.
Instead they responded with an illegal coup and mucked up the whole thing.

No fuster – if it’s a coup, WHY are they holding elections?

So when a COURT and the Elected officials follows a COURT ordered LEGAL warrant, that’s clearly in YOUR mind Unlawful?

(And it’s clear by your comment that you have NO idea what their constitution says, maybe you should research that before responding further – here’s a hint, it’s NOT the same as OUR Constitution.)
