Obama’s Executive Order That Guts Law Enforcement Ability

Go and read this: Obama Exempts INTERPOL From Search And Seizure On U.S. Lands

Now, if you could, explain to me WHY President Obama would do such an obviously stupid thing. There has to be a reason. What is it?

  • DaveR

Cause he hates the United States of America. Hasn’t that been clear for the last DECADE or more listening to him and the writings in his book. And the church he attended for TWENTY years. And his voting record. And his job (haha) record.

  • stuyvesant

    Dear Mrs Clouthier,

The reason is that, unlike when the original Executive Order was issued by President Reagan in 1983, since 2004 INTERPOL has a representative office to the UN in New York. Because of this INTERPOL now requires immunity from search and attachment of its premises, archives and other property associated with its office in New York. The INTERPOL National Central Bureau (“USNCB”)” located at the Department of Justice is not covered by the amended Executive Order. The USNCB remains subject to US law, as was previously determined by US courts, notably in Sami v USA (199 U.S. App. D.C. 173, 617 F.2d 755 (1979).

    Best regards.

DaveR, you dummy, read what stuyvesant wrote.
Actual, honest explanation based on fact instead of ignorant spleen.

Besides abusing you this way, I sincerely wish a happy and healthy New Year for yourself and family.

I shall exchange ridicule and insult with you again, should the creek not rise.

Way to come in after the fact fuster. The sad part about this is the wording is STILL ambiguous enough that any off the street lawyer could argue that is DOES mean that Interpol doesn’t need a court ordered warrant to search. See – that’s the problem with all these legal terms – they have MULTIPLE meanings. Why the hell do you think they pass bills and word stuff the way they do, so LAWYERS can use it in different ways in a court room. AND you need a lawyer to even “understand” it. Lawyers writing laws for everyone else to follow so you have to HIRE a lawyer (i.e. making lawyers more money) – talk about a conflict of interest.

You come in here all tough and name calling when someone posts something that has a different OPINION than what others post, but until then you don’t post a thing. (and I notice you still haven’t posted on the OTHER posts backing this assessment up, JUST this one…because it has a post “claiming” we are wrong)

  • fuster

    dave,
Interpol doesn’t have any agents or officers. It’s a database service. It’s composed of office workers placing information into places that are retrieved by police forces.

Obama’s extending provisions originated by Reagan.

fussy – maybe you should check INTERPOL’s OWN website and not trust the NYLies.

From the article: “INTERPOL has never assigned any of its police or staff members…”

    http://www.interpol.int/public/ICPO/PressReleases/PR2008/PR200859.asp

Yes this release IS about a correction of someone “claiming” to be an Interpol agent that got busted, but Yes fussy – Interpol DOES have officers, agents and staff HERE in the USA and other countries.
