She was ticked off at some kids making noise (quite possibly rightly), didn’t sit down when asked by the aircrew, continued making a disruption, refused to get off the plane when asked to, and so forth.

In short, she got treated exactly like some overly disruptive passenger should have, and rightly so.

She’s Ivana Friggin’ Trump for crying out loud.

She could ruin the careers of the entire flight crew with a couple phone calls.

So look, it works like this — you act as you should, and quiet those disruptive children down, or I make several phone calls when I get off this plane and make sure you get bad performance reviews for the entire rest of your limited future in the airline industry. Got that? Either I get some peace and quiet I have a right to, or you should get busy planning a new career. We clear on this? Quiet, or new career. Your choice.”

Instead of responding as a mature adult, she responded like a petulant, spoiled child faced with a denial of her immediate whims. She’s become Leona Helmsley, thinking she’s above all the rules which apply to every human being. She needs a good smackdown.
