Monumental Man-Made Scientific Scandal Climategate Described As “Missteps By Scientists” By WaPo

Could the WaPo undersell the man-made scientific disaster that is the Global Warming hoax any more? I think not. Tom Maguire takes WaPo down.

As AJ Strata notes today,”I see an avalanche of bad news coming for the alarmists.” [He has a all the details, go read it.] AJ concludes:

So what have we learned since climategate? We have learned that the current warm period is not only stalled but has been cooling. We have learned that statistically it is no warmer now than a 70 years ago, before the huge increase in human CO2 production. And thanks to Dr Phil Jones finally being honest about the science, we know there is no scientific proof today is any warmer than the two previous warm periods (Medieval and Roman) that have been established science for a couple hundred years now.

So the data is bogus. The data was manipulated to be more bogus. And the manipulated bogus data was used to form a theory that would remake society as we know it.

The whole goal: control human behavior to “save the world” is more like a cult. Remember, “Global Warming is a Moral Issue.“

    Again, I don’t know what your discipline is, but the only people who think AGW is a hoax are politicos like Tom Maguire. There’s about 1% of scientists in RELEVANT (i.e., geophysical, not MDs or some such) fields who think human activities are not leading to warming at some level, and 99% of them are paid by the energy industry. YOu have a lot of conservative columnists on your side, but literally 0 relevant scientific societies. You gotta wonder why that is….

    And news flash, doctor: what scientists don’t try and sell their data? 15 years of PRIVATE emails, and the worst thing you can find are ambiguously sarcastic comments, over-polishing of figures, and colloquial-speak about rivals? 15 years and that’s it? I’m shocked there wasn’t worse. Really.

    You don’t really understand global climate, or the data being interpreted. So you and your ilk just choose the side of political expediency and don’t bother with the science. How could you bother with it? You don’t understand it in the first place.

    So instead, you go Occham’s razor: all that evidence must be a giant, stated conspiracy across all of the geophysics disciplines (~50,000 scientists) and European governments to kill America’s economy. Of couse! And you think this even though those emails – 15 years worth of candid emails – mention nothing of the sort of said conspiracy or hoax.

    Well, actually Jones admitted that the RATE of warming 1975-1998 is indistinguishable from that of 1910-1940. Or 1860-1880. Which, of course, is not what the IPCC – and especially the hockeystick – claimed.

    And spin? Read between the lines. For the MWP, which “disappeared: somehow, he says data supports it for the Northern half of the globe, but there is little or no data for the Southerb Hemisphere. Unsaid – it was therefore completely OK to assume that the Southern half must have been considerably colder, since that would make the hockeystick correct! If there is no evidence supporting your hypothesis, making it up is OK???

    The author’s discipline is not a science at all. Chiropracters are the next thing to pseudoscience, which makes her opinions on global warming and hatred of the ACLU look like more examples of an anti-reason approach to life.
