Uh Oh, Bayh To Go Bye-Bye

Another moderate Democrat in what is going to end up being a very Red State in November goes down in a ball of flames. Phillip Klein says:

A popular former governor in Indiana with a long family history in the state, he would have been the strongest possible candidate. This is further indication that moderate Democrats running in red states are eager to jump ship in what they expect to be a rough November.

And here are my words to the wise in the Republican party: Don’t put up moderates in these races. The American people are going to be inclined to go Republican on principle. So, do NOT dilute strength by putting up a moderate candidate that begs for a Tea Party contender. Just don’t.

Americans are hungering for fiscal restraint. Give them what they want.

    Evan Bayh was a “Leninist”? Really? Moderate dems are “Leninists”?

    Did you ever take any history courses before you got into med school(or Ph.D.)? Lenin? Do you know who Lenin was?

    This sort of fake-characterization of people as Hitlers and Stalins and Lennins has just gotten beyond silly. This is like calling Orin Hatch “Pinochet”. It’s just historically moronic.

    Evan Bayh: Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, PolPot, Mussolini, Edi Amin

    Bill Clinton: Hitler, Stalin, PolPot, Mussolini, Edi Amin

    Jimmy Carter: Hitler, Stalin, PolPot, Mussolini, Edi Amin

    Jimmy Carter: Hitler, Stalin, PolPot, Mussolini, Edi Amin

    Obama: Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, PolPot, Mussolini, Edi Amin, Bin laden, Saddam Hussein, guy who stole the Linberg baby, cow that started great Chicago fire, that guy I don’t like at work, and Satan.

    Uhhh…that’s the joke Dave. I’ll try and be more literal.

    So if someone doesn’t follow the constitution, we should given them inaccurate historical comparisons? Well, that’s dumb.

    Besides, I can name tons of people on both “sides” that didn’t follow the constitution. E.G.,, Bush in Hamdan (though the SCOTUS struck him down) or the libs on the Scotus in Kelo.

    Now I’ll be historically accurate in comparing Sutter to Hannibal and Bush to Ghengis Khan. Awesome.

    I made a comment, you responed first erroneoulsy and then in an even more bizarre and unrelated manner re: the constitution, now you’re crying because I pointed out how little sense you made in that post.

    When Dr. Clouthier puts up picture saying that Evan Bayh is like Lenin – it’s fair game to talk (or in your case, cry) about. I didn’t think following the constitution was much related, but I went with it.

    Since you so desperately want to know (not that I really think you do), I think Bayh was basically bribed by the insurance industry with his wife as the funnel point of funds. I’m not a big fan.

    But he ain’t Lenin for the love xmas….
